Through the years as a Head Teacher at a large Montessori Center, I realized that some children were not getting the attention that was required to get the head start in their early childhood education. I often wondered how well a classroom would run if they had 3 teachers and only 20 children or less. This would be the optimal learning environment in my opinion based on my past experiences. This is the concept that I implemented when I opened A-list Montessori in Culver City our community boutique preschool.

Meet our Culver City Staff
Mrs. Byanka
Founder/Director
Mrs. Byanka obtained her accreditation as a certified Montessori Head Teacher at Capitol College in Chino, CA in 2009 that is accredited by American Montessori Society (AMS) and the U.S. Department of Education. She quickly landed a position as a head teacher in the westside of Los Angeles where she spent 7 wonderful years teaching the toddler and pre-k classrooms with 30+ children in each setting.
In her spare time, she was a Girl Scout Troop leader to help young girls connect with there community. This journey has now progressed to the point of being the owner and operator of A-List Montessori Preschool.

How did I know that I wanted to be a teacher? After receiving my AA in child development, I realized that I truly enjoyed working with children. Also, took my education in Montessori one step further and attended Capitol College to receive my Montessori Credential. Having the ability and tools to help a child read warms my heart. When I was young, my propensity always led me to helping teachers and volunteering in school events. The A-list community is amazing as we always take care of one another. My free time consist of spending time with my son Benjamin, reading books and going to the movies.
Curriculum
Language
The ability to write, a precursor to reading, is taught first.
Math
Through hands-on activities, children learn to identify numerals and match them to their quantity.
Cultural Studies
History, geography, science, art, and music, are integrated in lessons.
Practical Life
Children learn daily-life skills and appropriate social interactions.
Sensorial
Children refine skills in perceiving the world through their different senses.
